Britt Beresik
Hailing from H-Town, Britt Beresik is a proud Texan line dancer with over 30 years of dance training. As a life-long student of dance, Britt continues to grow and learn every day with a passion for line dancing. Line dancing entered her life in 2013, and it has been a top priority ever since… behind God and family of course! Britt first began to teach line dance in 2015 as a way to connect with others and form friendships. She has since gone on to found Cross The Line Dancing Houston, the Texas onLine Dance Mission Facebook community, the Line Star State Awards, and the World Line Dance Passport Program. Britt is always striving to find a way to help grow line dancing in the state of Texas (and beyond)! Fun fact, she even helped to co organize the Yellow Rose of Texas Line Dance Extravaganza for a few early years and is thrilled to watch it continue to “blossom” in the hands of Betty Hartman.
Choreography has always been a fun way for her to further enjoy this amazing line dance passion, and in 2019, Britt entered her first ever line dance choreography competition at the Vegas Dance Explosion. Through competing and taking professional courses, she learned to fine tune her choreography and has published 46 dances on Copperknob. Britt’s first big global line dance hit was “Tijuana” when other instructors began posting demo videos from several countries around the world. Today her most popular dances include Witch, Amigos In Low Places, Common Sense, Hey Cowboy, Dancin’ In the Country, and Wreck This Town. She has taught, lead and judged line dance at several major events including Florida Line Dance Classic, Heart of Texas, the Yellow Rose of Texas Line Dance Extravaganza, the Texas Line Dance Jamboree, Lone Star Invitational, Palm Springs Winter Break, Line Dance Branson, and Vegas Dance Explosion! She has made appearances twice on the TV show Fox & Friends (filming locations in New York City and Houston) to promote Texas line dancing. Teaching dance is where she really is fulfilled. Britt currently teaches 3 classes a week in the Houston area (Beginner to Intermediate) and is hired to teach small and large private events several times a month.
When not line dancing, Britt is consumed with building LEGO, substitute teaching, and being a softball/baseball mom-coach for her kids Bowen and Bailey. A huge shout out to Bryan, her husband of 17 years, for putting up with Britt’s crazy schedule and eccentric lifestyle.
